I am going to learn Python, dammit.

OK, finally.  I am going to learn Python.  So far I've gotten by as a professional astronomer with a combination of perl, pgplot, IDL, and iraf.  I used to think perl was all I needed.  But I'm tired of all the kids these days bragging about how easy Python is, that it's free and powerful.  I'm tired of not being able to read my students' code.  So I'm going to learn python, dammit.
